Meina is a delightful town on the Piedmontese bank of Lake Maggiore, just after the small town of Arona and before Lesa. From the XVIII century onwards the rediscovery of the enchanting beauty of Lake Maggiore and the growing fashion for aristocratic villas resulted in the construction of many prestigious residences – in fact the whole coast of Meina features a succession of villas and parks.

This area is particularly suitable for bathing and includes many large recreational sports facilities equipped to offer sailing courses. It is also surrounded by 8 golf courses, all of which are between 10 and 30 minutes away. Guests staying at the villa are offered a discount on green-fees, tee-time bookings and transport on request.

Villa Oleandro is situated in an extremely panoramic position, in the high part of the town (1 Km from the lake). It is set within a delightful enclosed garden with a private swimming pool (9 x 4.5 m) that offers beautiful views of the lake.
The villa has various mod cons: ADSL broadband internet connection, satellite TV, CD/DVD player, washing machine and dishwasher as well as a fully equipped kitchen.
On request it is possible to book a catering service or chef supported by a famous local restaurant which will be happy to offer guests staying at the villa a 10% discount on meals at lunch or supper time.

I thought to send you a note to say how much we enjoyed staying at Villa Oleandra in Meina.
The villa was very nicely kitted out and the location was gorgeous. I cannot praise the owners enough: they were so attentive, friendly and most generous.
Everything worked smoothly and the 2 weeks were a great success.

Great location with amazing views over the lake. It's a lovely space and could easily have fitted a couple of small families (or one pretty big one). We ate outside every day and felt very at home here. There's a big Coop supermarket nearby Arona, and a lovely bakery down the hill in Meina (highly recommended). Online maps slightly underestimates all the driving times nearby, but we still managed to see everything we wanted to, without ever driving for more than an hour. Overall we had a fantastic stay here. Great home - great hosts!
